Yurei

The souls of those that died violent deaths or were controlled by powerful emotions right before death do not go join the ancestors, but remain in the physical realm to play out their tragedy over and over. Sometimes if they receive a proper burial they can move on, sometimes they can never. Here we have a joint representation of the earth’s spirit, a tribute to the ones who departed tragically at the hands of humanity, and disappeared forever.
