Indigo Child

Children have immense power. Their power comes from the innate logic that is not crowded out by societal standards and rules. They are open to the whole world; they look at life through untainted eyes, which could almost be qualified as a “second sight.”

Painting detail close-up. “I stood still in the forest and felt the weight of its constant motion around me” from my new series of paintings in honor of the never-ending power of nature. We can foolishly think we have dominated it, but in that very lament we forget that the moment we turn away, it has already gained control once more. Even when we destroy all the Earth, which seems utterly inevitable at this point, she will continually burst forth with new life, and pick up like nothing had happened in the few years that we were here. We are but a virus and we too shall pass. That is, unless we learn to accept her dominance.
